J. Edgar Lansing 1939 – 2009
My dad was my hero and he didn’t even know it. I never got to tell him that and it still hurts to think I missed that opportunity. My father passed away very unexpectedly one year ago. It was an “Aortic Aneurism” the surgeon said, and it happened within hours, there was no chance of survival. My dad was too young to die at 69 but he did have a great life and out lived his own father by some 55 years. This does give me a glimmer of hope that I may make it to 80 at least.

My dad!!
Dad I love you and miss you still.

Be glad you had such a wonderful relationship, I envy you.
I am glad, just wish I could have told him when I had the chance is all.
I had a similar relationship with my dad, except I had a few weeks of warning before cancer took him at 67. I was fortunate to be able to tell him “in the living years.” He was my hero and my best friend. I miss him every day. He inspires me to be that kind of dad to my own kids, and I can live with the fact that they might never tell me so. Our dads might not be famous (well, I don’t know if your dad was or not), but they were great! All the best to you this day.
Thanks Grant
That is just an amazing tribute Todd…very eloquent…hugs for you today and all days you miss your Dad:)

Teri’s right.
Even though you cannot tell in person, the spirit of your words will fly with Angels…
You are a passionate man, Tod!
Thank you Martin.
