Getting through another week!!

Maybe I have been in aviation long enough now I have become jaded a bit. I just read a blog about getting laid off from a guy I follow on Twitter who goes by the name @whyisdaddycryin. I told him about my experiences in aviation having been laid off or let go a half-dozen times now in my 19 years in this industry. I feel for the guy. Today’s world has changed dramatically from my parents time. I felt more secure when I had my own company than I do now!!  Now I work for the worlds largest privately owned helicopter company and I do not feel secure at all.

 

I am glad that my time in this field has given me lots of friends and contacts that can use my avionics services.  Thank god for the weekend warriors.

 

The economy will turn around and the people on some sort of layoff status will get back to work, but everyone will be a little more leery of the future as I always am.
